Electron beam curing (ebeam curing) uses the high energy of accelerated electrons to directly cause the cross-linking of inks and coatings. This method allows for high speed curing without the use of heat. As this curing process happens within an inert atmosphere such as nitrogen no toxic ozone chemical reaction takes place making it ideal for very high speed curing of inks within food packaging applications.
