ON-THE-FLY TECHNOLOGY
Edale’s “On-the-Fly” technology enables colour changes to be made on redundant print stations whilst the machine is in production.
The on-the-fly technology significantly increases productivity and eliminates wasted time when setting up the next job. A dramatic reduction in waste enables the printer to fully utilise the press.
ON-THE-FLY in Summary
- Example: An 8 colour machine is running 2 x 4 colour jobs. The press is running 1 x 4 colour (CMYK) job in decks 1-4. Meanwhile, decks 5-8 are going unused and can be pre-set for the second job, while still running production for the first job. Plates, Anilox rollers and inking can all be prepared and put into the redundant decks so that the change is almost immediate
The Benefits
- Reduced machine downtime
- Reduced machine set-up time
- Reduced substrate waste

TOTAL RECALL
Job storage is our term for machine memory. The Edale press is fully automated, and with our digitisation, we can save press information to be recalled at a later date.
