What would I be doing?
As an engineering apprentice, you would work alongside experienced engineers to learn practical skills and theoretical knowledge in the field of engineering. This would include tasks such as designing, manufacturing, testing and troubleshooting engineering components, and developing your knowledge of engineering processes and technologies.
What will I learn, where will I study?
As an engineering apprentice with Edale, you will learn from experienced professionals in the business, as well as through your college coursework. This combination of practical training and theoretical knowledge will help you develop the skills and expertise needed to excel in the engineering industry.
How much would I earn?
Apprentices will earn at least the statutory apprentice wage plus 10% and earning potential not limited by age. Apprentices can increase their pay by passing through Edale’s tiered achievement levels meaning that the high achievers will increase pay more quickly. Contact us for more details.

Here are some common apprenticeship FAQ
Apprenticeships are work-based training programmes that are designed to help employers train people for specific job roles. At the same time, apprentices get a paying job with valuable training while they work towards a nationally recognised apprenticeship standard or framework (devolved nations).
Anyone in England aged 16 years old and above, whether employed, unemployed or leaving school. There is no upper age limit. There are no formal qualifications needed to do an apprenticeship however GCSEs (level 4+) in English, maths and science.

All apprentices are employed, and have a contract of employment. You are counted as a regular employee so get all the benefits such as holiday leave as well.
During your apprenticeship programme you will be working towards a nationally recognised apprenticeship standard or framework (devolved nations). This is accredited by relevant industry regulatory bodies and will help further you in your chosen career.
The length of the apprenticeship programme will vary depending on the level and type of apprenticeship.
The apprenticeship is a work-based qualification. Your learning coach will observe you through teaching face to face or virtually and support you in building an apprenticeship portfolio of evidence throughout your programme.
Across the length of an apprenticeship you have teaching sessions as advised by your college/Training centre.
If you are completing a standard towards the end of your apprenticeship you will have a meeting with your coach and Manager to determine whether you are ready for your End-point Assessment (EPA). The EPA is completed to assess the knowledge, skills and behaviours that you have learns throughout the apprenticeship.
You will practice parts of the (EPA) assessment throughout the apprenticeship and you will only take the final assessment when you are ready. The content of the (EPA) will vary depending on the course you are completing.
