INDEPENDENTLY SERVO DRIVEN

All Edale presses are “Shaftless”, with the FL series employing two independent servo motors per print station, one for web transport and the other for driving the print.

“Shaftless Technology” means that all print and converting modules are independently servo-driven.

Direct servo drives control each independent print and converting module. This means that each module drive can be accurately tuned to its specific requirement in terms of function or overall tension control in the press.

The independent drive of the print station delivers smooth and accurate control of the print process and is a key component in ensuring the precision register is maintained.
