iTek Packz opts for second Edale Flexo Press

Based in Bangalore India, iTek Packz has chosen Edale as their preferred machinery partner.

iTek Packz was established by the second generation of Wintek flexo prints after the acquisition of ITW SIGNODE in 2012. Wintek was originally founded by Mr. KM Shahul Hameed, Mr. PC Anand & Mr. Gururaj Ballarwad in 1995 and they were market leaders in self-adhesive labels.  Following on from the acquisition in 1995, Wintek was acquired by ITW Signode and in 2013 ITW Signode decided to sell the Folding Carton side of the Business to the newly formed entity in the name of iTek Packz.

iTek are an existing customer of Edale and are a leading convertor of printed cartons and already have an Edale FL5 with an inline Flat-bed die cutter which has won numerous FTA  & AFTA Awards for Excellence in Flexography and Innovation.

Their latest investment is a new 9 colour Edale FL3, 430mm wide suitable for the production of high quality labels. The FL3 boasts an array of options including Edale’s latest innovation the EZ Die, which is a quick change full rotary die cutting system that allows the user to change a tool in less than 60 seconds. Features of the EZ Die also include pre-registration of the die to print register mark in the web direction, a motorised cross register with pre-setting based on a job sheet and also automatic waste pick up of the matrix without operator input following a die change.

The FL3 was sold through Edale’s partners Printer Supply who have successfully represented Edale for 10 Years.
