Hyper Region purchase Edale FL3 Press

Hyper Region, a modern label printer based in Malaysia, have purchased an Edale FL3 press (UV) for the production of self-adhesive labels.

Traditionally an intermittent letterpress and offset print house, the ISO 9001/2004 and ISO 14001 certified company have rapidly grown their business and now have three sites across Malaysia. As business grew, and with the need for new equipment, Hyper Region, founded in 1998, made the decision to invest.

Having no previous experience in flexographic printing, Hyper Region contacted Edale Asia Pacific for more information on the print process and the Edale machine range. The main objectives were the need to increase productivity, offer more flexibility on applications and reducing machine and employee downtime and they were soon convinced that the Edale FL3 was the machine to do this; fast make ready and set up times, substrate range from 12-450 micron as well as the guarantee of first class quality British engineering.

As Edale Asia Pacific run their sales and service office from Lamlukka Pathumthani, Hyper Region have the best of both worlds with the quality of UK build alongside the local service and support should they need it.

Their six-colour FL3 boasts fast make ready times, job changeovers in less than 70 seconds, reduced waste and the capability to handle a variety of different substrates. The addition of the optional rail system allows for any options they require in the future to be added easily with no disruption to operation.

Edale Asia Pacific Sales manager Tony Law said: “Hyper Region heard about Edale through a previous agent in Malaysia, the customer had heard good reports of Edale and their range of presses, this was supported by the number of existing installations in Malaysia. Hyper Region particularly like the short set up time of jobs; quick change overs; pre-register and auto register function; and stable production speed”.
