Flatbed Hot Foil Printing Machines
Flat Bed Hot Foil
Hot foil is a printing method where foils are transferred to a surface at high temperatures. In a dedicated or cassette type hot stamping die section of the press, a die is mounted and heated, with the product to be stamped placed beneath it.
A metallized roll of material is inserted between the two, and the die presses down through it. The dry paint or foil used is impressed into the surface of the product. This is an intermittent process and a buffer is required between the hot stamping section to allow for continuous printing. Because the process is intermittent reduced amounts of foil can be used reducing cost.
Flatbed Hot Foil in Summary
- This is an intermittent process and a buffer is required between the hot stamping section to allow for continuous printing. Because the process is intermittent reduced amounts of foil can be used reducing cost.
The Benefits
- The intermittent process and a buffer between the hot stamping section allows for continuous printing.
- The intermittent process reduces the amount of foil that can be used, hence reducing costs.
