Hot Air Impingement dryer involves blowing medium to high-velocity hot air onto the ink to be dried. The high velocity of the air allows for very high heat transfer rates, which results in more moisture removal and faster, more efficient drying and curing. This allows for higher speed printing of aqueous inks. Due to the efficiency of drying less heat is transferred to the substrate making it suitable for filmic applications where UV inks can not be used.
