The Challenge
As customer demand increased for shorter runs, greater SKU variation, and more diverse substrates, PDQ needed a solution that could handle multiple applications without adding operational complexity or cost.

PDQ installed an Edale FL3 flexo press (now referred to as the LabelLine FL4p), equipped with AiiR Print Automation and advanced registration technology. This enabled them to efficiently produce both labels and flexible packaging on a single platform.

The Edale FL3 has enabled PDQ to:
- Expand into new applications, including flexible packaging such as confectionery (lolly) wrappers
- Consolidate multiple production processes into one press
- Reduce reliance on operator intervention through automation
- Maintain consistent, high-quality output across a variety of job types
