Overview

The ideal applicant will be proactive, organised and willing to get involved with a multitude of activities.  We are looking for someone who wants to get an overview of the whole business.

The Business Administrator is an apprenticeship role to provide support for the Marketing & Customer Service Teams. They will however have the opportunity of spending one month in each of Edale’s Departments, covering all functions to give a full overview of each part of the business. With this knowledge we would support the Apprentice with their choice of career progression/Department in Year 2. This would be facilitated with the input of Team Managers.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist Sales and Marketing team with preparation for events and exhibitions, including but not limited to the creation of sample packs, and attend where necessary.
  • Research and data input and management.
  • Outbound phone calls to check data accuracy/details.
  • Assist Customer Service team with administrative tasks including but not limited to scanning and filing to maintain ISO 9001 standards.
  • Assist relevant departments with a range of duties as required.
  • Answer incoming calls to the office in a timely and professional manner.
  • Generate letters of invitation for customers visiting from overseas.
  • Make hotel reservations, organise transport and book lunches for customers visiting Edale.
  • Carry out on site hospitality for visiting customers.
  • Review Sales Order backlog report to ensure orders are on schedule for dispatch.
  • Maintain and update CRM System with customer and machine details. - Generate quotations for spare parts and follow up on outstanding/pending quotations.
  • Process dispatches for customers including booking courier collections and generating commercial invoices.
  • Book accommodation, flights and arrange visas for engineers travel where needed.

Performance Management:

The applicant will be performance managed through a set of dedicated milestones in conjunction with business and college expectations. This will include, but is not limited to, meeting college deadlines for coursework and adhering to company policy and procedure whilst diligently completing all necessary documents to a high standard.

The performance of the Apprentice Office/Business Administration will be tied into the wider departmental KPI’s and therefore will be entitled to any departmental bonuses or reward schemes.
