Apprentice Commissioning Engineer (ACE)

Accountable to:  Customer Service Engineer | Control Systems Design Manager
Close liaison: After Sales/Service, Project Eng, Sales, Technical and Manufacturing Teams

Overview

The ideal applicant will be proactive, organised and passionate about engineering and machine operation. As a member of the After Sales Team, this role involves coordinating and undertaking activities to ensure Edale’s equipment is tested, commissioned, and accepted in accordance with the customer’s contract.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Machine commissioning and print testing to ensure all machines comply with Edale internal quality standards.
  • Defect closure in an effective and timely manner whilst adhering to strict project deadlines.
  • Preparation of and conducting machine Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and/or Site Acceptance Tests (SATs) resulting in successful machine sign-off.
  • On and off-site technical and training assistance in support of Edale and its customers.
  • Working in a multi-discipline engineering environement showing strong Electrical, Mechanical and Software technical skills.

Performance Management:

The applicant will be performance managed through a set of dedicated milestones in conjunction with business and college expectations. This will include, but is not limited to, meeting college deadlines for coursework and adhering to company policy and procedure whilst diligently completing all necessary documents to a high standard.

The performance of the Apprentice Commissioning Engineer (ACE) will be tied into the wider departmental KPI’s and therefore will be entitled to any departmental bonuses or reward schemes.
